Winter wedding styled shoot at a 15th Century Venue
This winter wedding styled shoot took place last December on the island of Crete and was designed to showcase the quiet magic and romance of the off-season. Set within a breathtaking 15th-century venue, the concept embraced history, warmth, and atmosphere, transforming ancient stone walls and grand halls into an intimate winter haven. Flickering candles filled the space with soft light, while a dramatic statement chandelier suspended above the dining table became the heart of the design—its glow reflecting beautifully against the historic architecture and creating a scene that felt both timeless and cinematic. The venue itself, Metohi Istoria, offered the perfect canvas where past and present merged seamlessly into a deeply romantic setting.
The design was completed with a rich, elegant palette of burgundy and deep green, chosen to evoke warmth and seasonal luxury. Velvet table runners and ribbons added texture and depth, while lush florals softened the grandeur of the space and balanced its architectural strength. Every element—from the layered candlelight to the tactile fabrics—was intentionally curated to create an immersive winter atmosphere that felt cozy yet refined. Thoughtfully planned and styled by The 25 Project, the shoot stands as inspiration for couples dreaming of a winter wedding that feels atmospheric, sophisticated, and unforgettable, proving that colder months can be just as magical as summer celebrations.
